No Onion-Garlic Punjabi Style Tamatar wali Arbi | Colocasia in Mildly Spiced Tomato Gravy

Also known as Taro Root or Colocasia, Arbi is a fiber rich vegetable, essentially good for our digestive health. Besides, it provides many other health benefits too, which makes it an essential part of a well-balanced diet. While this root vegetable can be cooked in a variety of ways, this no onion-garlic colocasia in mildly spiced tomato gravy has always remained one of my favorites. The best part is, it makes for a delectable choice in case you are fasting or are looking for a curry option that is easy and faster to cook. Have it with simple chapati or parantha and you are surely gonna love it. The curry goes equally well with plain rice too; do certainly try once. Punjabi Style Tamatar wali Arbi Ingredients Arbi (Colocasia or Taro Root, peeled and thickly sliced) - 15 to 20 pieces Tomato (pureed) - 3 medium sized Cumin seeds - 1 tsp Carom (ajwain) seeds - 1/4 tsp Green chili (slit) - 1 to 2 Salt - as per taste Turmeric powder - 1 tsp Red chili powder - 2 tsp Cori
