Today evening my taste buds were craving for some Italian flavors but, I did not want to go a lengthy route spending hours kneading the dough, waiting for the yeast to ferment the same and then bake a pizza, garlic bread or a focaccia to enjoy with my tea. It was only few days back that I saw the recipe of these instant savory pizza muffins on a cookery show on TV. Believe me, it took me just under 30 minutes to have these hot muffins out of the oven....and lo! my family was elated to relish a lovely tea time treat. Vanilla Chocolate Chip Biscotti

" Biscotti " is an Italian term referring to biscuits that are "twice baked"... and generally the ones which most of us often relate to are these crunchy and oblong shaped cookies that are technically also known as "Cantuccini". Originated during mid-nineteenth century in the small town of Prato in Italy, these biscotti have today become a coffeehouse staple across the world; while the original biscotti flavor can be traced back to comprising of just almonds and pine nuts, today you can choose from an endless variety starting right from simple vanilla, chocolate and cappuccino to even dried fruits such as cranberries and prunes. Ankurit Moong aur Palak ki Muthiya | Sprouted Moong and Spinach Fried Fingers

Image
Sprouted moong and spinach when combined together, makes for a healthy, nutritious and wholesome food. Lately, I used this combination in preparing these fried muthiyas, that turned out to be awesomely delicious and flavorful. And no, they are not the traditional Gujarati muthiyas, which are made with gram flour and whole wheat flour; instead they have just been named so because of their cylindrical shape. Actually they are simple fried snacks that make for perfect choice to be nibbled with your evening tea or to be served as a light appetizer for your parties and get-togethers. Do try them once and I promise, you would make them quite often. Sprouted Moong and Spinach Fingers Ingredients Sprouted Green Moong - 1 cup Spinach (washed and roughly chopped) - 2 cups Spring onion greens (finely chopped) - 1/4 cup Boiled and mashed potato - 1/2 cup Onions (finely chopped) - 1/4 cup Ginger (grated) - 2 tsp Green chilies (finely chopped) - 2 to 3 Coriander (finely chopped) - 1

Chatpate Achaari Arbi Tuk | Tangy & Spicy Colocasia Bites

Arbi Tuk is a very famous recipe which has its roots in the Sindhi cuisine. Baked Soya & Paneer Parcels | Soya & Cottage Cheese Stuffed Baked Parcels

Image
Sunday being the only holiday during the week for my husband, he just wants to relax and have good food; starting right from the breakfast to lunch to dinner, his demand for something special in the menu is never-ending. Same thing happened today also when he came up asking for some good snacks with the evening tea. And his definition for ' good' is something which often gets zeroed down to all the fried stuff. Considering his well-being (like all the caring wives 😉), this time I opted not to feed him with anything fried and instead came up with these baked parcels that are further loaded with the goodness of soya and paneer, making them all the more healthy and nutritious. The best thing is, they were just loved by my husband and he could not resist admitting "baked snacks not at all taste bad as I always thought them to be....". So, just in case you are also looking for snacks that are healthier and at the same time delicious, this is a recipe must try. Make them
