Baked Mango Yogurt
With mangoes all around, it was now high time to make this beautiful dessert which had been hovering on my mind for quite a while. And also, as it was Father's Day today, I all the more had an apt reason to once again treat my tastebuds with a delectable dessert. The recipe is very simple, a little variation to the much famous Bengali Mishti Doi and gets prepared in just no time; all you have to do is mix the ingredients, bake and chill in the refrigerator. Simple Na? I told ya 😊. So what are we waiting for? Let's get started with the step-by-step procedure to make this super yummy and heavenly Baked Mango Yogurt.
Ingredients
Hung curd/yogurt - 1 and 1/2 cups
Sweetened condensed milk - 1 cup
Mango puree (I used canned Alphonso puree) - 1 cup
Fresh cream (Amul) - 1/2 cup
Vanilla extract - 1 tsp
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes.
2. In the meanwhile, mix all ingredients and whisk to a smooth batter.
3. Pour the batter in ramekin moulds or in any oven-safe bowls and place them on a baking tray.
4. Pop the tray in the oven and let them bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until the middle of the ramekins feel jiggly.
5. Once the yogurt cools down, place in refrigerator to chill for about 3 to 4 hours or until it is completely set.
6. Serve with any fruit sauce of your choice; I served it with my homemade cherry sauce and some blueberries for that extra deliciousness.
