Mango Iced Tea Recipe
Mango Iced Tea is a refreshing and cooling drink to rejuvenate your senses in the scorching summer heat. Mango Iced Tea |
INGREDIENTS
- Ripe mangoes - 2 to 3
- Raw mango or a sour variety of mango such as Sindoori - 1
- Granulated sugar - 1/4 cup
- Lemon juice - 2 tbsp
- Black tea leaves - 1 tsp
- Water - 4 cups
- Mint leaves - a few

METHOD
- Wash, peel and cut the mangoes into cubes. Discard the pit.
- Blend the mango cubes to a fine puree.
- Cook the puree along with 4 to 5 tbsp of sugar and a cup of water on low heat for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove in a bowl and keep aside to cool.
- Mix in lemon juice.
- Bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add in a tsp of black tea leaves and let them steep in for 30 to 40 seconds. Strain the water and keep aside. Cool down completely. Refrigerate for a couple of hours.
- Once the tea is chilled, mix in the mango puree until nicely combined.
- To serve, fill the glasses with ice cubes. Add in some mint leaves and pour in the iced tea. Serve chilled.
- Instead of fresh mangoes, canned mango puree can also be used.
- Instead of sugar, you can also go in for honey.
- Instead of black tea leaves, you can also use green tea leaves.
