So refreshing and bursting with flavors, it was one of the go-to drinks whenever we returned from school. However, growing up, I realized that all these packaged drinks including our very favorite store bought Frooti had so many preservatives and was loaded with sugars, artificial flavoring and colors. Therefore, there came a time (precisely when I started food blogging) when I stopped consuming all these packaged drinks and started trying out fresh drinks made with real fruits at home. This HOMEMADE MANGO FROOTI is one amongst many such drinks. Let me tell you, it is absolutely refreshing, absolutely tasty and yes, preservative free and color free too. Air Fried Atte aur Gud ki Mathri is the healthy and baked version of the otherwise deep fried whole wheat flour and jaggery mathris. A guilt-free tea-time snack , they are flavored with sesame seeds and also, some crushed fennel which makes them even more delicious, flavorful and aromatic. I made these beautiful mathris in air fryer, however, they can also be made in usual ovens or OTGs at 180 degrees Celsius.  With the lockdown going on, I am on a spree trying out different delicacies every other day, especially sweets and desserts such as Bengali Sponge Rasgulla , Eggless Chocolate Cake , Chawal ki Kheer etc. All this, because my husband is a major sweet-a-holic and he needs something sugary to snack on after his meals. Having said that, having too many sweets full of refined sugar is quite unhealthy. Therefore, considering the health factor, today I baked these healthy yet very crunchy and delicious atta & gud mathris that he can munch on anytime, guilt-free!. I even r...

Besides, they make for a tasty delight too and are often used in a variety of desserts, salads, fruit drinks and smoothies. As summers are here, I also thought of making use of these stone fruits in a cool and refreshing drink, which would not only give a respite from the scorching heat but would also be loaded with healthy nutrients essential for our bodies. Now one may ask why it is called ' Plum Panna '...well! the method used in preparing it is quite similar to one used in ' Aam ka Panna ' and hence the name; however, you can call it with whatever name you like.  You may also like...
